LibertyFest is a weeklong celebration of America’s birthday and the heritage of Oklahoma. Every year 125,000 visitors enjoy the patriotic fun in Edmond with the help of more than 500 volunteers.

LibertyFest 2015 runs from June 25th through July 4th. There are 11 events happening throughout the week and ends with a spectacular fireworks show on July 4th, which is the largest in the OKC metro.
Here are the LibertyFest 2015 events:
Concert in the Park: LibertyFest kicks off with Concert in the Park on Thursday, June 25th at 7:30 pm in front of Mitchell Hall Theatre on the University of Central Oklahoma campus. The concert will feature a mixture of light classics, marches and patriotic music performed by band members from area high schools, college students, and community members. After the concert, enjoy free watermelon and ice cream on the lawn!
Cardboard Boat Regatta: The 7th Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta at Arcadia Lake – Edmond Park kicks off Saturday, June 27th. The City of Edmond Parks and Recreation Department once again is challenging participants to make their own boats out of cardboard and then race them. Boat races start at 9am. $5 per vehicle at the entrance to the park.
Car Show: Check out some cool cars at The LibertyFest Car Show Saturday, June 27th at Hafer Park from 8am – 2pm.
KiteFest: LibertyFest KiteFest will feature hundreds of kites in the sky over Edmond. Beginners and pros are welcome. It’s happening at West side of Mitch Park from 9:30am – 5pm on Saturday, June 27, and from 9:30am – 4pm on Sunday, June 28th.
Scholarship Pageant: Miss Edmond LibertyFest takes place Saturday, June 27th at Sante Fe High School. The Teen Pageant starts at 3pm, and the Miss Pageant begins at 7pm. Tickets are $15
Road Rally: The LibertyFest Road Rally is a fun family event that is similar to a scavenger hunt on wheels! The fun goes from 11am- 3pm on Sunday, June 28th at Earl’s Rib Place – 2121 S. Broadway. $10/per vehicle.
A Taste of Edmond: Bring your appetite for A Taste of Edmond on Sunday, June 28th from 6:30pm – 8:30pm at the Festival Market Place in Downtown Edmond. More than 40 restaurants from around the area will serve up great food!
Rodeo: Calling all cowboys and cowgirls to the LibertyFest Rodeo on Saturday, June 27th and Sunday, June 28th at 8pm. Events include bareback riding, barrel racing, bull riding, and much more. It’s happening at the Carl Benne Arena on 300 N. Kelly. 12 yrs. and up is $10, and 11 yrs. and under is $5.
Parade: Grab the kids and the lawn chairs for the LibertyFest 4th of July Parade happening at 9am in Downtown Edmond on Sat., July 4th. The theme is “A Route 66 Fourth of July”. The 1.5 mile parade route will draw around 50,000 spectators! Don’t miss the bands, floats, clowns, and more at the parade!
ParkFest at UCO: Enjoy an evening of fun for the whole family on the 4th of July! ParkFest at UCO is Saturday, July 4th from 6pm – 9pm. There will be carnival rides, bounce houses, music, games and much more! (100 N. University Drive)
Fireworks: The Parkfest at UCO ends with a fantastic LibertyFest Fireworks Display! New this year…the fireworks show starts at 9:30pm Saturday, July 4th at UCO (100 N. University Drive)! It is biggest fireworks show in the OKC metro, and fireworks are synchronized to music on the radio.
